Punggol Green

Punggol Green is a visionary landscape intervention that redefines the potential of infrastructural "dead space". Spanning 500 meters beneath an active LRT viaduct, the project transforms a former disamenity into a vibrant Social & Wellness Linear Park. By integrating walking and cycling arterials, we have stitched together the existing and upcoming developments in the "Heart of Punggol," creating a sustainable social spine that prioritizes mobility and public welfare.

The design embraces a biophilic approach, overcoming the constraints of low-light conditions under the viaduct by selecting a diverse mix of native and exotic plant species. This burgeoning greenscape not only increases urban biodiversity but also mimics the ecological habitats of the nearby coastline. By harmonizing complex drainage and rail structures into a playground of imagination and color, Punggol Green injects joy into everyday living, serving as a restorative sanctuary that elevates the mental and physical wellbeing of the entire community.
