SB Bar

SB Bar is a Japanese-British fusion concept reimagined as a modern networking sanctuary. The design is a meticulous blend of two distinct cultural aesthetics—British sophistication and Japanese minimalism—seamlessly integrated within a tropical rainforest context. Our team utilized a strategic combination of colors and materials to create two contrasting atmospheres: an intimate, contemplative interior and a breezy, private exterior.

The "Interior" space focuses on tactile intimacy, featuring shoji paper and log elements to shorten the distance between guests in a compact setting. A standout feature is the curated curved shoji ceiling above the bar, which artfully softens the building’s structural beams while casting a dim, atmospheric glow that encourages deep reflection. In contrast, the "Exterior" extracts elements from the tropical rainforest, using green tones, wood flooring, and terracotta tiles. Through the use of shutters, we promoted natural air circulation and privacy, allowing guests to feel fully immersed in a lush, tropical breeze—a true embodiment of hospitality that balances commercial function with emotional healing.
